Following Your Procedure

The day after your procedure, a nurse from Bradenton Surgery Center will call to check on your recovery.

Results for pathology take up to 2 – 3 weeks to be returned and your physician will go over them with you at your follow-up appointment.

Please notify your physician if you experience prolonged discomfort or any abnormal change in symptoms. If these symptoms persist or become more serious, please call 911.

After anesthesia:

• Be sure to have a ride home and you should not drive or operate heavy machinery for 24 hours following your procedure.

• Do not plan to make any important decisions or sign financial documents following your procedure.

• Eat lightly, unless otherwise instructed by your physician, and drink plenty of fluids following your procedure. Avoid alcohol consumption for at least 24 hours.

• If you experience serious pain or any adverse symptoms discussed in your discharge instructions, call 911.
